Words cannot even begin to express how wonderful the third annual Play for Patrick Tennis Tournament was this weekend. This year, we expanded the tournament to include a pro-am competition on Saturday, thus making a “charity weekend” for the first time. The numbers are not all in yet, but it looks like it will be the best fundraising tennis tournament we have hosted by a long shot! I am so
blessed to have an amazing community of friends, an enthusiastic staff at Druid HIlls, and a lot of new childhood cancer research advocates that we befriended this weekend. Thank you to everyone who played or donated to the cause!!!!
Tomorrow, I take Patrick in for his MIBG injection in preparation for his scan on Wednesday. The anxiety is starting to creep in a little, but we are managing not to let it get a hold of us (yet). Please pray specifically that the scan on Wednesday will be uneventful and will merely serve to confirm Patrick’s continued remission. This is our first scan since Patrick completed treatment and his first MIBG since November. Scanxiety… I will post as soon as I hear the results.
Patrick continues to feel really well, and we are enjoying the start of summer. We are blessed beyond imagination.
